In some cases, the NSA helped the CIA find targets by locking onto their powered-off mobile phones. Even when phones have their batteries removed, it appears the NSA still has the ability to locate them.

So says a recent article from a source that also had reported about a lawsuit concerning the pirating of software in predator drones.

Really, there may be no surprise here, as this is another take on wiretapping and the extent to which the government can use popular technology for strategic purposes.  In fact, there is nothing really new here either as NBC ran a fascinating report this week about a CIA museum that showed a drone the size of a dragonfly from three decades ago.
